This is my drawing of a common frog.
In Norway it is found almost all over the country, all the way up to the North Cape.
In the mountains it has been observed at an altitude of almost 1500 meters, in Jotunheimen.
This frog is drawn with a 0.5 mm fineliner over a basic pencil sketch.
As a last touch, I added a bit of pencil shading underneath it.
The drawing was finished in about eight hours, approximately.
Most of that time was spent getting the pencil sketch right, and trying to capture the structure of the skin through the stippling work.
Here is a picture of the finished drawing. Drawn on A5 paper from a Moleskine sketchbook.
