This is my drawing of a haddock.
A species that is recognizable by the large black spot on each side below the first dorsal fin.
There are several stocks of haddock in Norwegian waters, and it can be fished throughout the year.
This haddock is drawn with a 0.5 mm fineliner, over a basic pencil sketch.
For the shadow on top, I used a stroke of a brush pen.
The drawing, pencil sketch included, was finished in about six hours, approximately.
The time mainly consisted of stippling work, after adding the general outlines as a start.
The fins took up a fair share of the time.
Here is the finished drawing. Drawn on A5 paper from a Moleskine sketchbook.
